I had a really positive experience with the Movement and Wellbeing Clinic. I saw Nat as soon as I received my MRI results showing that my back and left side... read more pain was caused by a herniated disc and my sciatic nerve being compressed. By this point, I'd been in pain with reduced mobility for 4 months and house bound for 3-months. Getting from the tram stop to the clinic was the furthest I'd moved in that time and aided by a walking stick (St Peter's Square is conveniently very close) but it was a struggle! Nat armed me with the confidence to push through my pain and add more movement back into my life by adding exercises to get back to my typically very active lifestyle. I felt that he did a very broad assessment of my health through questions and observations of movement. He also taught me about chronic pain. During my 4 sessions with Nat I was able to phase off my 26 pain pills a day in January, down to nothing by mid-March. I'm now back to working my active job, cycling 35-miles a week and walking about 100,000 steps a week albeit still with a slightly numb foot and sciatic nerve. Thanks so much!
